Pastoral Care Ministry was created to care and support individual families who are experiencing special needs in their lives, guided by the Holy Spirit under the authority and guidance of our Pastor. We are a team of lay people called to ministry by reason of our Baptism, to serve our community and to share our gifts with others. We answer the call to help provide healing, comfort, care and companionship to our brothers and sisters who are home bound in their homes and around our community with emphasis to the pastoral care of the sick and dying, ad we strive to be an inclusive ministry to persons with disabilities and limited abilities.
These ministers bring communion to those unable to come to Mass. They provide a non-judgmental listening presence to the elderly, home bound, the sick and dying, and those suffering from emotional pain. Such as: death, divorce, family trauma, and any unresolved issues.
The team also provides support and planning for Funeral Vigils, Funeral Mass and Memorial Services in our Parish.
Grief & Loss sessions are provided for those who need healing through a process in a support group.
Prayers through the Ministry of the Prayer Chain upon prayer request from and for the Community are available.
the team provides Liturgy support for the All Souls Day celebration in honor of all who have died each year.
Training and mentoring is available for those called to this ministry, by reason of their Baptism, to use their gifts to serve God’s people.
"We are called to serve one another and walk humbly with God" -Micah 6:8
