Each class balances information and activities appropriate for each age level to help our parish children learn as much as they can about our Catholic faith.
Preschool-Sixth Grade
Classes for children in grades PK-6 are offered Wednesdays from 6:30-7:45pm in the Parish Center Mid-September-May. The curriculum is based on the four pillars of the Faith: Creed, Morals, Sacraments, and Prayer, in alignment with the learning expectations approved by the Archdiocese of Seattle. Catechists help children grow in their faith through approved textbooks, engaging activities, and prayer.

Grade level focuses are as follows:
K-Creation, Jesus, and God’s Family
1-Creation, Jesus, and the Church
2-Reconciliation, Eucharist, Mass
3-The Catholic Church
4-Morality/Catholic Doctrine
5-Sacraments
6-Old Testament
Sunday preschool classes for children ages 3-5 are also offered weekly during the 10:30 AM Mass. Volunteer teachers engage the children with stories from the bible and crafts, games and activities to make learning fun.

Service Projects

Each class chooses a service project to complete during the school year, focusing on the Coporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy, or providing their time, talent and treasure to our community. Projects have included collecting toys for Children's Hospital, cleaning the entry to our building, making cards for RCIC students, raising money to host and serve a special RCIC dinner for members of our program, Christmas ornament decoration for soldiers, item collection for the Knights of Columbus, and a food drive for St. Vincent de Paul food bank.
